It’s officially winter… and that means one thing. Dry skin. Especially for those of us living in drier states, the winter can prove to be a total nightmare for our skin. Luckily, I’ve found a few ways to adapt to the winter weather and a few products that really help me out during the season!
I’ve started using a new skincare line that I buy from Target called “Bliss”. Bliss is vegan, cruelty-free, and has a super aesthetic-ally pleasing line! What else more could you even ask for?
I always start my routine by taking off my makeup from the day using my Makeup Eraser. Seriously, this is probably one of the best products I’ve ever purchased. It’s a super soft washcloth (think baby blanket soft) that you simply get wet and rub against your skin. Waterproof mascara? Gone. Non-smudge lipstick? Gone. You only have to replace it every few months to a year, depending on how much you use it. To wash it, you just throw it in the washer and dryer, and it’s brand new all over again. Seriously, no more makeup wipes that burn your skin, tugging at your lashes to take off mascara, or using endless cotton pads to remove your makeup. The Makeup Eraser is a God-send and I’m so glad I bought it. I only spent $20!
Moving on, I use the Fab Foaming 2-in-1 Face Wash and Exfoliator from Bliss. This stuff is like magic. It leaves my skin feeling super cool, and it’s gentle enough as an exfoliator every day. I only wash my face at night, but I’ve had no acne or small bumps since I started using this. It does dry my face out just a bit, but that takes me onto my next step.
I also use Bliss’ Mighty Marshmallow Face Mask. It seems expensive at $15, but the amount they give you is HUGE. It’s lasted me a few weeks so far, I use it 2-3 times per week. This face mask is so light, soft, and feels incredible. You leave it on for about 15 minutes and afterwards, you feel totally refreshed and your skin is SO smooth. I haven’t found a face mask that comes close to beating this one.
In regards to moisturizer, I’ll admit, I haven’t found one that works for me yet. Even though Bliss can get a bit pricy (hint: it’s cheaper at Target than it is online), I’m tempted to add in another one of their products to my routine since I’ve had nothing but positive experiences so far. I really want to try the Bliss Drench & Quench moisturizer, because if so many of their products work well for me, why wouldn’t this one?
That’s about it when it comes to my skincare! It’s super quick and simple, mainly because these products are so natural and you really can’t go wrong with them. If you’re looking for a new skincare line, I’d definitely check out Bliss (nope, this isn’t sponsored, I’m serious!) Until then, drop a comment below and let me know what you use!
